Ilham Aliyev: Armenia must comply with resolutions or face sanctions

The UN Security Council adopted four resolutions in connection with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. These resolutions demand the unconditional and immediate withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the 13th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

He stressed that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, OSCE, European Parliament, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Non-Aligned Movement and other international organizations have adopted similar resolutions and decisions.

"Armenia should comply with the resolutions or face sanctions. Territorial integrity of Azerbaijan must be restored,” APA cited Ilham Aliyev as saying.

He recalled that as many as 613 people, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old people were killed as a result of the Khojaly massacre. A total of 1,000 civilians became disabled in the onslaught. Some 1,275 innocent residents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 people still remains unknown.
