President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Foreign Minister of Georgia Mikheil Janelidze, who arrived in the country on an official visit, today.
Mikhail Janelidze conveyed the greetings of the Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and the Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili to the head of state. He noted the two countries' relevant bodies are actively continuing their joint work and projects, Trend reports.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the relations between the foreign ministers of the two countries are regular, noting the importance of cooperation between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Noting that the bilateral cooperation actively continued, Aliyev said there are good opportunities for developing the relations in political, economic, energy, humanitarian areas, as well as in a multilateral format. He expressed his confidence that Janelidze`s visit to Azerbaijan would create a good opportunity for reviewing the program of joint events to be held this year.
Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings and asked Janelidze to extend his greetings to the Georgian president and prime minister.
