In the course of the recent clashes in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces gave an appropriate response to the aggressor, the president of the republic, Ilham Aliyev, stated, speaking at yesterday's Security Council meeting.
He noted that the Armenian side has attacked Azerbaijani positions, and nearby villages were subjected to bombardment. "As a result of this armed provocation we suffered losses, our soldiers and civilians died," APA quoted him as saying.
