Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan itself will not need as much renewable energy as they plan to produce.
He noted that Azerbaijan's target is green energy export. The country plans to send it to those who need it now, primarily in Europe.
The head of state said that there are many things which Baku needs to tackle: those which solely depend on its internal agenda will be fully implemented, but those which need international partnership, Azerbaijan needs to work with its partners.
Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is attractive not only for those who invest in fossil fuels, but also for those who invest in renewables.
The Azerbaijani leader added that Baku is channeling wealth from fossil fuel into renewable energy.
