President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has announced today that during the first half of 2016 the country's economy received $ 6.3 billion of investment. This data was voiced by the head of the state during a Cabinet meeting, which was dedicated to the results of a socio-economic development of the country for the first 6 months of the year.
"Despite the decline in GDP in the first half, we acknowledge the growth in the industrial and agricultural fields in the oil sector. Over the past six months the country's economy received 6.3 billion dollars of investment, Azerbaijan is an attractive country for the foreign investors,’’ Ilham Aliyev said.
