The press service of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev informed about the details of telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and confirmed the expression of concern by the Russian leader due to the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Vladimir Putin also asked about the situation and drew attention to the need to strengthen the ceasefire.
Ilham Aliyev pointed to the continuation of military action by the Armenian Armed Forces, despite the statements of official Baku about the ceasefire on the contact line, adding Yerevan will be responsible for new violations of the regime.
The Presidents expressed their support for the process of a peaceful settlement of the conflict under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.
