Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will pay a working visit to Azerbaijan today. He will hold talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev behind closed doors. Following the talks they are expected to sign bilateral documents, TASS reports with reference to diplomatic sources.
According to some experts, this is a historic visit, Netanyahu visited Baku nearly 20 years ago last time - in 1997.
It is possible that the Israeli prime minister and the President of Azerbaijan will discuss the intensification of bilateral trade and economic relations, cooperation in energy and information and communication technologies, an increase in mutual investment.
Also they may focus on the issues of military and military-technical cooperation, as well as international issues.
Netanyahu will visit the educational complex 'Chabad Or Avner' established for Jewish children with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
In the evening Israeli Prime Minister will leave Baku for Astana.
