Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva arrive in Beijing

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva arrived in Beijing by train from the Chinese city of Tianjin on September 2.

Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva will attend events in Beijing commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against the Japanese occupation and World War II.

In Tianjin, the President of Azerbaijan attended the SCO Plus meeting, while Mehriban Aliyeva participated in boat trip with spouses of leaders attending this meeting. On August 31, Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
