A solemn concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was held in Baku Crystal Hall yesterday.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, first vice president Mehriban Aliyeva and family members attended the concert.
The conception of the event organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation highlights the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on May 28 in 1918, the country`s achievements in the past 100 years and Azerbaijan`s position as one of the independent, powerful and developed countries.
The two-hour concert featured more than 670 famous culture and art figures. Then they performed the national anthem of Azerbaijan together.
The concert ended with a spectacular firework display, AzerTAc reported.
