President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and first vice president Mehriban Aliyeva have arrived in the city of Shaki today.
They laid flowers at a statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city. Head of Shaki City Executive Authority Elkhan Usubov informed Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva of the work carried out in the district. The head of state gave relevant instructions, AzerTAc reported.
The President and the first vice president of Azerbaijan attended the inauguration of the newly built Heydar Aliyev Center and the Flag Museum in Shaki.
In addition, Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Aliyeva have attended the inauguration of the Shaki-Kish highway. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov informed them of the technical characteristics of the road. The two-lane road is 7.2 km in length and 12 m in width. A bridge over the Kish River was also renovated under the Azerbaijani President’s order.
