Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Serdar Berdimuhamedow on his election to the post of Turkmenistan's president.
"I am sure that the Azerbaijani-Turkmen strategic partnership will continue to develop and serve the well-being of the two countries thanks to our joint efforts", the message of congratulations says.
Ilham Aliyev also invited the newly elected President of Turkmenistan to visit Azerbaijan.
