Ilham Aliyev discusses Nagorno-Karabakh settlement with Frank-Walter Steinmeier

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has held a meeting with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. The main topic was bilateral relations between the two states.

In particular, the sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of all-round relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, stressing the importance of such meetings to further strengthening of contacts.

As Germany chairs the OSCE this year, ll Azerbaijan's cooperation with the organization was also discussed first of all. They also exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Ilham Aliyev and Frank-Walter Steinmeier devoted part of their conversation to the modern economic growth of Azerbaijan. Considerable attention was paid to its development in the non-oil sector today, as well the implementation of social programs in unfavorable market conditions in the oil sector of the economy.
