Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Herbert Salber.
The EU Special Representative expressed his appreciation to the President for the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan a few weeks after the trip of the Vice-President of the European Commission, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini. Salber said that her visit opened good opportunities for expanding cooperation. He also noted that the EU might contribute to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Ilham Aliyev said that the visit of Federica Mogherini to Azerbaijan was successful and fruitful.
The sides exchanged views on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in various areas, Trend reports.
