Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has held a meeting with Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
He described Kvirikashvili`s first visit to Azerbaijan as Georgian foreign minister as a good sign of the friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries. The head of state stressed the necessity of actively continuing Azerbaijan-Georgia cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres, as well as the importance of cooperation.
The Georgian Foreign Minister noted the high level of bilateral relations. During the talks, the sides discussed the international importance of joint regional projects, including the Southern Gas Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
