President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel, APA reports.
“I sincerely congratulate you on your reelection as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany,” President Aliyev told Angela Merkelin his letter.
“We attach special importance to the comprehensive development of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. The active and efficient cooperation between our countries in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres is encouraging,” said the Azerbaijani president.
“I believe that we will make joint efforts to further strengthen interstate relations and ensure the successful continuation of our bilateral and multilateral cooperation,” Aliyev noted.
