Imam Shamil’s memorial day will be held at the Rasul Gamzatov National Library in Makhachkala on February 4, the chairman of the council of the Akhulgo public organization, Gayirbeg Abdulayev said.
According to him, the event coincides with the 147th anniversary of the imam's death. The historians will participate in the event and tell about the era of Imam Shamil and the formation of the Caucasian Imamate.
The Memorial Day dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the death of the Imam will be attended by the participants from all over the North Caucasus.
