In 2017, the birth rate increased in Ingushetia and the death rate decreased, the Ministry of Health of the Republic reported. The department noted that in the past year, the population's demographic growth was 7569 people, and the average life expectancy in the region is 80.8 years.
There was also a decrease in mortality from 3.3 to 3.2 per 1,000 people. In addition, the number of infant deaths decreased by 33%, and there was no maternal mortality in the region since 2016.
