Inflation in Turkmenistan to slow down in 2022

Inflation in Turkmenistan is projected at 13% in 2022, and 10% in 2023, Trend reports with reference to the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) report - Asian Development Outlook 2022.

According to ADB forecasts, the country's inflation will slow down in 2022 amid higher export earnings. At the same time, it is noted that it will remain at a high level due to rising prices for imported products.

Inflation in Turkmenistan is expected to continue its slow down next year due to the expected easing of restrictions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, higher energy prices and stimulation of local production.
