Influenza type B approaches Russia

Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia, Anna Popova, warned today that the epidemic of influenza type B is expected in the country soon.

”After the main seasonal virus, the influenza type B comes. It is much less contagious, affects fewer people, but it usually causes a heavier consequences,” she said, speaking on NTV.

‘’In spite of the fact that the epidemic season is ending, the incidence rate is decreasing, it is not the best time to relax,’’ Anna Popova stressed, recalling that the B virus is famous for its complications - bronchitis and pneumonia.
