Interim government approved in Turkey


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approved the composition of the interim government of the republic, the office of the head of state reports.


The list of the members of the new cabinet of Erdogan was conveyed by the Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, who received the presidential mandate to form a government on August 25.


The Cabinet includes 11 deputies from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). Two members of the Kurdish Peoples Democratic Party (PDN) received portfolios, one representative of the post went to a representative of the nationalist National Movement Party (MHP). Eight of the eleven candidates from other opposition parties did not agree to participate in the provisional government, explaining the decision of rejection of their parties. Instead, the Cabinet includes independent deputes.


Deputy Prime Ministers in the interim government became Tugrul Tyurkesh, Cevdet Yilmaz, Yalcin Akdogan and Numan Kurtulmush.


Feridun Sinirlioglu heads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior Affairs is headed by Selami Altynok, the Defense Ministry by Vecdi Gёnyul, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources by Ali Riza Alaboyun, The Minister of Economy became Nihat  Zeybegchi, RIA Novosti reports.


The post of the Minister for EU Affairs was received by Ali Haidar Gongja, the post of the Minister for Development – Muslumov Dogan, the post of the Minister of Family and Social Policy – Ayshen Gyursan, the post of the Minister of Finance – Mehmet Simsek, Tass reports.
