Vice President for Science and Technology Hossein Afshin stated that internet access in Iran may be restored in the coming days.

"The internet may be restored as early as today, or tomorrow, or by the end of the week (according to the Iranian calendar; according to the Western calendar, by Friday, January 23 – the editor's note)",

Hossein Afshin said.

Earlier today, after an 11-day internet outage in Iran, President Masoud Pezeshkian called for the restoration of internet access to Iran's residents to enable online commerce and communications. He addressed the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, with the corresponding recommendation.
