IrAero Airlines is delaying flights on the Sochi-Antalya and Sochi-Istanbul routes. Today, passengers waited six hours for their flight to the Turkish resort.
The plane from Sochi to Antalya took off at 11:17 instead of the scheduled 05:00 on July 5. The delay was almost six hours. According to the online schedule, the flight from Sochi to Istanbul (IO-5761) was delayed by four hours — it was postponed from 11:30 to 15:30. The evening flight of IrAero Airlines to Istanbul is also delayed. Now, its departure is scheduled for 21:00 instead of 19:00.
IrAero also had problems with flights to Turkish cities earlier this week. Russians waited 15–16 hours for flights to Istanbul and Antalya. The airline explains the problems with a whole range of reasons, including a strike of air traffic controllers in Antalya, faulty airplanes, and long-term maintenance of aircraft in airports.
