Iranian and Kazakhstani health ministers have signed a document for cooperation in healthcare and medicine, Trend reported citing IRNA.
At the meeting, Yelzhan Birtanov also awarded his Iranian counterpart Hassan Qazizadeh-Hashemi the medal of honor of Kazakhstan's government.
Kazakhstan medal is awarded to a few number of influential figures, and this shows that the Iranian minister has played a major role in promotion of health in the world, the Kazakh minister said.
Qazizadeh-Hashemi, who was visiting Kazakhstan to attend a conference, marking the 40th anniversary of Declaration of Alma-Ata, has also met with counterparts from various countries.
