A meeting between Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan and South African Minister of Defense and Military Veterans Nosiviwe Noluthando Mapisa-Nqakula was held in Pretoria.
Iranian Defense Minister thanked South Africa for having similar position on global issues, pointing out that both countries can effectively fight against terrorism and organized crime by coordinating their actions.
Nosiviwe Noluthando Mapisa-Nqakula thanked Iran for its support during the difficult times of apartheid. According to her, the implementation of recently signed Memorandum of Understanding in the military sphere will give a huge boost to bilateral relations.
