Iran’s Supreme Court has confirmed death sentence of Iranian billionaire businessman Babak Zanjani, Gholamreza Ansari, an official with the court said, Trend reported citing ISNA news agency.
He further said that the Supreme Court has overturned death penalty of British-Iranian Mahdi Shams and Iranian Hamid Fallah Heravi, two of Zanjani’s business associates.
Zanjani was sentenced to death last April for corruption, but he appealed the ruling.
