Presidents of Iran and Venezuela Ibrahim Raisi and Nicolas Maduro signed a 20-year agreement on cooperation in various fields, including the oil and petrochemical industry, the Mehr news agency reports.
The ceremony was held in Tehran in the Sa’dabad Palace Complex.
Raisi called the countries' relations "strategic". He stressed that under the current Iranian government, the countries have developed cooperation in the energy sector, including the supply of fuel to refineries in Venezuela, the transfer of technology and the provision of technical support in the field of economy, defence, and agriculture.
