The construction of a new road bridge across Astarachay will be completed by the end of 2022, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Şahin Mustafayev said.
It was previously reported that Mustafayev had held talks with his Iranian counterpart,Rostam Ghasemi, during which the bridge construction protocol was signed.
"Today, together with the Iranian side, we will lay the foundation of a new automobile bridge across the Astarachay, it will be built as soon as possible before the end of this year", Mustafayev said.
Azerbaijani and Iranian officials will take part in the groundbreaking ceremony to be held today.
