Iran and India discuss cooperation

A meeting was held in New Delhi between Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which they discussed joint economic projects between the two countries.

In addition, the sides noted the need to develop a joint project, the Chabahar port and rail projects, including the North-South corridor.

Earlier, Delhi and Tehran signed an agreement on the development of the port of Chabahar in the southeast of Iran. In addition, there is a railway project that will connect Central Asia with the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas in the Persian Gulf. India also plans to connect the port of Chabahar with Iran's railway network.
