Iran and Japan discuss bilateral cooperation

A two-day visit by a Japanese delegation to Tehran, headed by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Daishiro Yamagiwa, has ended today.

Together with the Minister, Iran was visited by heads of major Japanese companies such as Mitsui & Co, Kansai Paint Co, Sanden Holdings, Nippon Steel, Sojitz, ITOCHU and Kamematu.

The Japanese delegation held talks with senior Iranian officials, including the Minister of Petroleum Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.

The First Secretary of the Energy Commission of the Iranian parliament, Abbas Amir Soltani believes that after the signing of the agreement with the 'Six' a new and unique partnership in the energy sector between Tehran and Tokyo is possible.

He also noted the long-term interest of Japanese companies in the Iranian market, Trend reports.
