The Iranian authorities are ready for dialogue with Saudi Arabia, despite the anti-Iranian rhetoric at the last meeting of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).
"Saudi Arabia issued a statement on behalf of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, in which it made accusations against Iran," Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Sunday.
"Iran called for a regional dialogue in response to a message from the Emir of Qatar submitted to Tehran by its foreign minister," he tweeted.
Khatibzadeh stressed that now Middle East needs dialogue and shaping all-inclusive regional arrangements more than ever, IRNA reported.
