Iran has deployed Russian-made long-range S-300 missiles at its Fordo uranium enriching plant in order to bolster the security of the facility.
The anti-aircraft missiles were positioned at the plant hours after the theocratic country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered a speech to military commanders.
Protecting nuclear facilities is paramount "in all circumstances" General Farzad Esmaili, the commander of Iran's air defences, told the IRIB channel.
"Today, Iran's sky is one of the most secure in the region," he added.
