The Iranian Oil Minister, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, said that the country's long-term plans include developing economic relations with Russia.
"We intend to build long-term economic relations with the Russians. Our plans are to extend the scope of economic and technological cooperation with Russia, and they are very serious," he stressed.
"The political will to expand economic relations with Russia exists in Iran at the highest level. I also think it would be helpful for us to develop relations both with Russia and with China, India and other countries with rapidly growing economies," the Minister stressed.
According to him, Iran and Russia are planning to cooperate not only in the implementation of development projects and trade. "We can work with the Russians on projects in the field of railway transport and construction of power plants. We can buy oil equipment and basic consumer goods from Russian. Russia also has a number of technologies in the mining industry which we are interested in," TASS quotes the Iranian minister.
