The Iranian authorities are hoping that after the lifting of sanctions, the country can regain its leadership in the sector of maritime transportations of liquefied natural gas (LNG), taking it from the United States.
According to the head of the National Iranian Tanker Company, Ali Akbar Safai, Tehran is negotiating with Paris, Berlin and Brussels about the construction of LNG carriers.
"Lifting of sanctions will provide good conditions for Iranian oil tankers, which will allow them to expand their operations in Europe," - Trend quoted him as saying.
