Iran expects that the potential of bilateral trade with Ukraine amounts to 1 billion dollars a year, the head of the Iranian State Organization for Trade Facilitation Valiolla Afhamirad stated.
"The volume of trade and economic exchange between Tehran and Kiev can reach 1 billion dollars a year, considering the potential of the private sector of the two countries," the Financial Tribune newspaper quotes the Iranian official.
According to Iran's Customs Directorate, the publication notes, bilateral trade turnover between Tehran and Kiev significantly decreased in 2015. If in 2014 it amounted to 234 million dollars, then over the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21st 2015 to January 21st 2016), this figure reached only 104 million dollars, TASS reports.
