Iran plans to connect transport routes to Europe and China with the help of its network of railways, the managing director of the Iranian railways Mohsen Pursaid-Agai said today.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony of the first freight train in the framework of the New Silk Road project, which arrived in Tehran from China, Pursaid-Agai said that "the countries located on the Silk Road route are striving to revive the ancient network of trade arteries,'' Tass reports.
