For the first time in five years Iran has received money for its products through a bank registered in the EU. It became possible after the lifting of sanctions, which prohibited Europeans from buying products of Iranian petrochemical companies.
According to the director of the petrochemical trading company, Mehdi Sharif Niknafs, his company has received the first payment to an account in a Spanish bank. He stressed that receipt of the money meant the end of a dispute that had been continuing for the last five years, gazeta.ru reports.
