Iran removes 27 surveillance cameras from its nuclear facilities

Iran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that it is removing 27 video cameras monitoring its activities at nuclear facilities, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said.

"We have been informed that 27 cameras <...> will be disconnected from the monitoring system in Iran", TASS quoted Grossi.

According to him, this is a "serious challenge" for the work of the IAEA in Iran and for the opportunity to confirm that Tehran complies with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program. Grossi further noted that 40 IAEA cameras remain in operation in Iran.
