Iran strongly condemns the Israeli attack on Syria, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said.
"The Zionist regime's frequent attacks on Syria under fabricated and baseless excuses is a breach of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and in defiance of all international laws and regulations," IRNA cited the spokesman as saying.
Qassemi said the silence of other countries and international organizations on such aggressive moves and behavior of the Zionist regime means giving a green light to it and encouraging this regime to continue its aggressive moves.
Legitimate defense against the aggressors is the right of the resistant government and nation of Syria, the foreign ministry spokesman added.
