Iran's Foreign Ministry does not consider launch of rocket violates UN resolution

The test launch of a ballistic missile last week is not a violation of the UN resolution, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi stated.

"None of the missiles are designed for nuclear warheads, so they do not violate the UN resolution," RIA Novosti quotes Araghchi, referring to the DPA agency.

According to the deputy head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the UN measures allow Iran to take steps aimed at strengthening its military defense.
