Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said that the restart of the Fordow nuclear facility will make it possible for Tehran to restore the enrichment level it had before making a nuclear deal.
"With the restart of the Fordow facility, we have increased our enrichment capacity by 900 SWU (Separate Work Units), taking it up to 9,500 SWU. It is about the same capacity that we used to have before the nuclear deal was made, when the maximum [level] was 11,000 SWU," ISNA cited Kamalvandi as saying.
On November 6, Iran started to inject gas into centrifuges at the Fordow enrichment plant, making its fourth step to reduce commitments to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
