Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tel Aviv's willingness to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
He noted that while Israel agrees to a truce in the enclave, it demands the Palestinian movement Hamas' complete demilitarization and its removal from power in Gaza.
Netanyahu warned that if diplomatic actions fail, Israel intends to achieve its goals by military means.
