Iran summoned the British ambassador to the Foreign Ministry on Sunday after an attack by a violent group on the Iranian embassy in London.
Simon Shercliff was reminded of "the British government's commitments within the framework of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations" and a protest note was given, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Shercliff expressed his regret over the attack and said he would convey Iran’s protest to London and hoped not to encounter such problems in the future.
