Iran to buy Russian aircraft for $21 billion

The head of the Iranian National Space Centre, Manouchehr Manteki, today said that the Islamic Republic has signed several contracts with Russia for the purchase of Russian aircraft, including the Superjet 100. The contracts were signed in late August at the MAKS-2015 exhibition.

At the same time, RIA Novosti reported that Manteki did not say how many Superjets will be bought, he only added that "Russian space production is widely recognized, and we are always striving to increase cooperation in this field."
