Iran will send its warships to Russia’s Astrakhan port in a friendly symbolic act, the Islamic Republic's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qasemi said, Trend reports.
Russian warships also are scheduled to berth at Iranian Anzali port in Caspian Sea for a few days, Qasemi went on to say at a press conference in Tehran.
Qasemi further said that Iran will continue security cooperation with Russia, while responding to a question about possible use of Nojeh airbase in Iran’s western Hamadan By Russia for attacking terrorists in Syria in the future.
“The kind of actions that this cooperation entails depends on the situation and the way third and fourth countries cooperate with us on the front,” Qasemi added.
