Tehran is negotiating with Chinese and European companies on developing high-speed railways, the Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Abbas Akhundi said.
The minister stressed that the department has prioritized expanding railways in suburban areas.
"During the recent visit by the Iranian government to Italy and France they held talks with their European partners on refurbishing the rail system in our country," Trend cited him as saying.
