Iran wants to attract Japanese investors

Iran has invited Japanese companies to invest in oil and infrastructure projects, including in the development of railways and ports, chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Gholamhossein Shafei said during Iranian-Japanese business forum in Tokyo.

According to him, investment cooperation between Iran and Japan has great potential.

He added that attracting foreign investment has been a main priority of Iran after the lifting of sanctions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who attended the forum, assured Japanese investors that Islamic Republic is a reliable partner.
