According to the presentation which opened today's conference on new contracts of the Iranian oil and gas industry, by 2020 the Islamic Republic plans to reach a production level of up to 7 million barrels of oil a day.
Before the introduction of sanctions against Iran, the country produced 4 million barrels per day, of which 2.5 million barrels were exported. Currently, as TASS writes, Iran produces 2.8 million barrels every day.
