Rosoboronexport said that Iran has withdrawn its lawsuit for the sum of 4 billion dollars against Moscow.
In 2007, Russia and Iran signed a $800-million deal for the delivery of five S-300 battalions. In 2010, Dmitry Medvedev suspended the contract and Iran sued Rosoboronexport in the Geneva Arbitration Court.
This lawsuit was the main obstacle to the conclusion of a new contract for the supply of S-300 to Iran at the MAKS-2015 in August.
“The result will be positive, there are currently no conditions that would hamper the contract from being fulfilled," Trend cited the head of Rosoboronexport, Anatoly Isaykin, as saying.
