Iranian Air Force's F5 fighter jet crashed in Dezfoul, Khuzestan province, on Sunday, Mehr news agency reported.
The fighter crashed, due to technical fault, while landing in the 4th military air base in Dezful, 460 kilometers (280 miles) southwest of the capital, Tehran.
Iran's prominent pilot, Col. Manuchehr Fattahi was martyred during the incident.
