Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and UN nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi will meet in Egypt today, Iran Press reported.
It will be their first encounter since Israel and the U.S. bombed Ian’s key nuclear sites in June.
The Cairo talks between Grossi and Araghchi will focus on a new framework for Iran-IAEA cooperation.
"Araghchi will meet with Grossi this week to finalize a new cooperation agreement," the statement reads.
It was noted that the meeting could mark a turning point in restoring a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear case.
"A finalized agreement may prevent further escalation, ease European pressure, and reestablish trust between Tehran and the IAEA amid growing concerns over enriched uranium stockpiles," Iran Press reported.
